Creating a Digest Version of your Mailing List
You can choose to allow your subscribers to receive a digest version of your mailing list. This means that instead of getting every message as soon as it is sent, they get them bundled, either daily or when the digest reaches a certain size
To create a digest version of your mailing list:
- Go to http://civic.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/admin/your_listname/ or http://vbi.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/admin/your_listname/
- Log in using your Admin Username and List Administrative Password listed in your set-up instructions.
- In the "Configuration Categories" section at the top of the page, click on the "Digest-member Options" link.
- Choose whether or not your list members can choose to receive list traffic bunched in digests.
- Choose the delivery mode that is the default for new subscribers (regular or digest).
- Choose the default format for digests, plain or mime.
Plain means that the message is delivered in plain text.
Mime means that the message will be able to display HTML. Not all email clients can read Mime mail.
- You can change the file size that the digest should be at before it gets sent out. We recommend leaving it at 30 Kb.
- Choose whether or not a digest should be sent daily if the size threshold isn't reached. We recommend that you choose Yes.
- If you choose, you can dictate a header and footer to be added to every digest.
- Click the "Submit Your Changes" button.
